A fast-moving wildfire is growing in northwestern Wisconsin.
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources says the forest fire has grown to 5.5 square miles and is forcing some evacuations Tuesday in sparsely populated southern Douglas County.
KUWS-FM reports residents are being evacuated from lake homes and cabins in the Rock Lake, Loon Lake, Murray Lake and Beauregard Lake areas.
Single-engine air tankers and "scoop" planes are dropping water on the blaze.
WDIO-TV reports smoke from the fire could be seen 40 miles away in Duluth, Minn.
The DNR says no injuries are reported.
