FARGO, N.D. (AP) -- Fargo authorities say firefighters pulled a woman from the Red River in an early-morning rescue.
Police and fire crews responded to a report at about 1:30 a.m. Monday at the Midtown Dam in Dike East Park and began searching the shore when they found a cell phone.
Firefighters were launching a boat when they spotted the woman floating about 20 yards north of the boat ramp at the park. She was pulled to shore by firefighters wearing cold water rescue suits.
Authorities performed CPR on the woman before she was taken by ambulance to a local hospital. Her name and condition have not been released.
