In a meeting described as "tense" and "icy," President Obama discussed the conflict in Syria with Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin Monday at the G8 summit in Northern Ireland.
Obama announced $300 million more in humanitarian aid to Syria and neighboring countries taking in Syrian refugees. The move comes several days after the U.S. said it will supply the opposition with military aid in its battle to oust President Bashar Assad.
