The hanging death of a 9-year-old boy in north Minneapolis was not the result of foul play, Minneapolis police said Monday.
Police say a neighbor found the boy hanging by his neck on a clothesline in north Minneapolis a few weeks ago. He died a few days later at Children's Hospital. Minneapolis Police Department spokeswoman Cyndi Barrington says the case is still open, but based on current information and statements, "there is no sign of criminal activity in the case."
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner's office has not yet released the boy's name or whether his death was accidental or intentional.
