Minneapolis Police Chief Janeé Harteau has placed two police officers on administrative leave and ordered an internal affairs investigation following unidentified allegations against the officers.
In a press release on Friday afternoon, MPD Public Information Officer Cyndi Barrington wrote that state law blocks Harteau or any Minneapolis employee from releasing further information about the allegations or investigation.
"The Minneapolis Police Department will release information in the future if or when legally permissible to do so," Barrington wrote.
Barrington did not immediately return a request for comment.
