August is shaping up as a busy month at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum in Chanhassen.
The arboretum will host its first Art Crawl Through the Gardens on Aug. 17-18. Local arts and crafts will be on exhibit and for sale.
Exhibitors will set up shop along Three-Mile Drive to let visitors see the sights at their own pace. The art crawl is free with gate admission.
On Aug. 24-25, the arboretum will open an outdoor sculpture garden to the public. The Harrison Sculpture Collection is made up of 22 works, plus three arriving in the future.
Contemporary artists Mimmo Paladino, Paul Granlund and George Rickey are among those featured.
The sculptures were donated by philanthropists Alfred Harrison and Ingrid Lenz Harrison of Wayzata.
