One of three St. Paul residents will get a million dollars to invest in an idea designed to revitalize the city.

The finalists in the Forever Saint Paul Challenge were announced yesterday. Nearly 1,000 ideas were submitted for the contest.

The finalists were picked by a panel of judges, but the winner will be selected by a popular vote open to anyone in Minnesota.

Morning Edition producer Jim Bickal talked with the finalists about their ideas for St. Paul.
