Inver Hills Community College is one of a handful of schools hosting a series of cyber-security competitions, and I.T. professor Ben Franske tells the Pioneer Press why the Department of Homeland Security has recognized Inver Hills IT department as a center of excellence for cyber security training:
Cyber security "has always been baked into the degree."
It's not the first time Inver Hills has flexed a little engineering-tech muscle.
In 2011, I reported that its students were up against MIT and Purdue in NASA’s rocket competition for colleges and universities.
