An Appalachian poet who's part southern preacher, country singer, and professor. That's how Kathleen Roberts, literary director of the Prove Collective in Duluth, describes one of her favorite living poets, 2011 Pulitzer Prize finalist Maurice Manning. Manning will be reading at the College of St. Scholastica's Somer Lounge on Friday, Feb. 7 at 7:30 p.m.
