Authorities in west central Minnesota have identified a high school student who died after apparently fleeing from police at a weekend party.
Michael Anysike was last seen outside a rural residence near Madison, Minn. Sheriff's deputies were called there shortly after midnight Sunday on a report of a large party where underage people may have been drinking.
Authorities found more than a dozen vehicles at the site, and officers reported some people inside fled the scene when police arrived.
About 12 hours later, the Lac Qui Parle Sheriff's Office got a report of a missing person. Investigators found he was one of the people who had left the farm site. A search in the area found 18-year-old Anysike. He was taken to the hospital in Madison, where he was pronounced dead.

Anysike, who went to Dawson-Boyd High School, was a senior running back on the football team that played in last year's Class A prep bowl final.
"He was a very well known, well respected kid," said Brad Madsen, superintendent of the Dawson-Boyd School District. "Always known as a pleasant, smiling kid. Outwardly, everything was going right for him. He had college plans."
Madsen said the high school has offered to hold a memorial service, and he expects hundreds will want to attend.
Lac Qui Parle sheriff Rick Halvorson didn't release the cause and the circumstances of Anysike's death.
