It happened yesterday on Long Island, N.Y., when the New York Police Department and the New York Fire Department played a little hockey when they weren't fighting in a scene straight out of "Rescue Me."

Here's a closer look:

According to a Deadspin commenter, "It should be noted that at the same time that this brawl was going on, the NYPD and the FDNY were working feverishly to rescue two cops stuck in a smoke filled elevator while responding to a high rise fire."
