Here's the letter that Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (MnSCU) system Chancellor Steven Rosenstone and Minnesota State University - Mankato President Richard Davenport sent to two legislators asking for a review of Mankato's firing of football coach Todd Hoffner.
The review would be conducted by the state Office of the Legislative Auditor and focus on the processes involved.
After that are remarks that Rosenstone made about the matter to trustees at a regular board meeting this morning.
The university has been under fire over its handling of the case. Rosenstone told trustees he has been frustrated that data-privacy laws have prevented Davenport and MnSCU officials from commenting on the case.
