President Obama today accepted the resignation of Eric Shinseki as the Secretary of Veterans Affairs "with considerable regret." Sloan Gibson, Shinseki's deputy, will serve as temporary secretary.

U.S. Rep. Tim Walz, who represents Minnesota's 1st District, joined MPR News' Tom Crann to discuss the resignation. Walz was one of many lawmakers who called for Shinseki to step down.
