How colleges handle unprepared students

Consistently, students arrive to their freshman year of college unprepared, even if they did well in high school. Now administrators are making efforts to cut remedial classes that aren't benefiting students and college entrance exams, the SAT and ACT, are being redesigned to better reflect a student's college readiness.
