The moon's orbit came closer to Earth this weekend than any other time this year, giving skygazers across the world the delight of seeing the second supermoon of the year.
Supermoon: That's the term for a full moon at its closest point to Earth, which means the moon looks bigger and brighter than usual even though it's still hundreds of thousands of miles from us. This year, we'll see three of them.
