If you didn't stay up last night, here are highlights from yesterday's primary election.

Hennepin County Commissioner Jeff Johnson beat three other candidates for the right to face off against DFL Gov. Mark Dayton in the general election. (MPR News)

DFL State Auditor Rebecca Otto fended off a challenge from fellow DFLer Matt Entenza. She won handily with 80 percent of the vote. (MPR News)

As expected, Mike McFadden earned his party's nod to run against Sen. Al Franken. (MPR News)

Incumbents Jenifer Loon, a Republican from Eden Prairie, and Phyllis Kahn, a Democrat from Minneapolis, survived primary challenges. (MPR News)

Meanwhile in First Congressional District, Blue Earth businessman Jim Hagedorn defeated the Republican endorsee, and will challenge four-term Rep. Tim Walz. (MPR News)
