Every fall, students from St. Andrew's University in Scotland indulge in a tradition of covering themselves with foam to honor the "academic family." Called "raisin weekend,' it was once celebrated with a gift of raisins traditionally given by first year students to their elders as a thank you for their guidance. In exchange they receive a receipt in Latin.
