The 2014 midterm election includes a number of fascinating races for governor around the country and one is right next door in Wisconsin.

Gov. Scott Walker, who already had to survive a recall election, is seeking a second term. But his Democratic challenger, Mary Burke, has gained traction, and polls show the race is very close. Burke is a former Wisconsin secretary of commerce and a former business executive with Trek Bicycle.

The Daily Circuit reached out for interviews with both candidates. Walker declined our request.

Burke joined The Daily Circuit from Madison to speak with Kerri Miller.
