Today's Morning Edition features the title track from Marianne Faithful's new album "Give My Love To London." The album, which is her 20th, comes out today.
Faithful describes the song as an "incredibly sarcastic" take on her life in the 1960s. She started her career in 1964 as a 17-year-old folk singer in London coffee houses. She had a highly publicized romantic relationship with Mick Jagger. Her struggles with drugs in the 1970s are also well known.
Faithful survived and forged a career in music. She is currently on a world tour to celebrate 50 years in the industry.
The video below features "Sparrows Will Sing" by Faithful which is also included on the new album.
