A winter weather advisory has been issued for portions of west central and southwest Minnesota for tonight through Monday. Considerable blowing and drifting snow will make travel extremely hazardous. Sub zero wind chill readings are also expected.

Fairmont, in southwest Minnesota, reported more than 6 inches of snow on Saturday.

The snow cover as viewed from space blends in with some mid level clouds over Minnesota, but you can see the snowfall extended into Iowa.
