A New York Times reporter, who is a medical doctor, and the head of one of the nation's largest insurance companies agree on one thing: America's health care system doesn't work. Especially for patients.

Dr. Elisabeth Rosenthal wrote the NYT series, "Paying Till It Hurts." She and Mark Bertolini, CEO of Aetna shared their insights at the Mayo Clinic Center for Innovation's 2014 "Mayo Transform" conference.
