A baby giraffe is the latest addition to the Como Park Zoo.
Skye is the 18th baby giraffe born at the St. Paul zoo and the fourth giraffe there now, including mother Daisy, father Skeeter and another giraffe, Clover. Daisy gave birth Nov. 25, the zoo announced Monday.
It isn't clear where the new baby will end up, said Zookeeper Allison Jungheim.
Daisy belongs to the San Diego Zoo "and per our breeding agreement, every other giraffe calf born to her belongs to San Diego," Jungheim said. "So depending on what San Diego wants to do, it'll either go to the San Diego Zoo, or it will become a collection animal at another institution."
Skye was 6 feet tall and weighed 145 pounds at birth.
