Today's Morning Edition music is from Joan Jett and the Blackhearts with "I Love Rock n' Roll."
It was announced today the she will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, alongside Lou Reed, Green Day, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Ringo Starr, the Paul Butterfield Band, Bill Withers and the Five Royales. The induction ceremony will be held April 18 in Cleveland.
Jett tells Rolling Stone that she doesn't play this song live very often anymore, but could make an exception at the induction ceremony. "It would speak to what a lot of us have dedicated our lives to, this music called rock & roll," she says.
