A $42 million concert hall opened at the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts in St. Paul this week. It gives the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra a dedicated place to perform. The SPCO performs their debut concerts Thursday and Friday in the space. You can hear tonight's performance live at 7:30 p.m. on Classical MPR.
We hear from two musicians about what it's like to perform in the state-of-the-art facility, and MPR News' Tom Crann talks to two of the leaders in the Ordway's arts partnership about the challenges of funding classical music.
