Today's Morning Edition is from Vic Tedesco singing with his big band as they perform "New York, New York."
Tedesco died on Monday at the age of 92.
He was a musician, politician, broadcaster and all-around larger than life figure. He represented St. Paul's East Side on the City Council for 20 years. He also owned a number of successful radio stations with his brothers and led his big band.
Marilyn Lantry, who worked for Tedesco as a legislative aide, told the Pioneer Press:

"When he would play with his band at the senior citizen places, he would take off his wig, say it was made in Japan, and throw it back on. Everybody got a kick out of that, because he was pretty bald. He never really had to campaign, because everybody loved him, especially on the East Side. He could have been in office for life."
Burial will take place at St. Pascal Baylon Catholic Church. Final arrangements have yet to be announced.
