Authorities are looking for a 24-year-old Stillwater woman after she left her apartment and all of her belongings behind around midnight Saturday.
Abbey Russell's family said it was unusual for her not to contact anyone for a few hours and reported her missing around 2 a.m. Saturday.
Stillwater Police Chief John Gannaway said she moved to her Stillwater apartment from Eau Claire, Wis., two weeks ago. But Gannaway said her disappearance is not considered suspicious for the time being.
"There is no indication of any criminal activity at this point," he said. "We interviewed family members, acquaintances, the roommate, anyone that is involved. We have nothing to establish that at this point."
Police conducted ground, air and water searches around her residence in the 1700 block of North Broadway. Community members also gathered for searches over the weekend.
Abbey is 5-foot-7 and 150 pounds. She has green eyes, shoulder-length brown hair, a flowers and feathers wraparound tattoo that extends from just below her right shoulder to elbow and a text tattoo under her left armpit.
Anyone with information about her is asked to contact the Stillwater Police Department at (651) 351-4900.
