Today's Morning Edition music is from "Nothing Compares to U" by the Irish singer Sinead O'Connor, which was No. 1 on the pop charts 25 years ago Friday.

The song was written by Prince for his side project, The Family.

Speaking of Prince, he has written a song called "Baltimore" about the death of Freddie Gray. It has not been released yet, but it's likely that fans will hear it at a Rally 4 Peace concert in Baltimore on Sunday.

Organizers say a portion of the proceeds from that show will benefit Baltimore-based youth charities.
