A 35-year-old man who was killed in a Memorial Day shooting in north Minneapolis has been identified.
Larry Dwayne Davis died Monday of multiple gunshot wounds, according to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office.
Two other men were injured in the shooting in the 2700 block of Third Street North.
Davis was on supervised release after serving time for a 2001 murder. He was sentenced to 15 years after pleading guilty to killing Patrick Timberlake.
On Monday, police responded to a call of a fight about a mile from where Davis gunned down Timberlake. When officers arrived, they found Davis dead in the street and another man wounded by a gunshot.
Later in the day, a third man arrived at Hennepin County Medical Center with critical injuries. Police say that man also was involved in the fight.
No arrests have been announced.
