The Minnesota Twins begin a three-game series Friday night in Arlington, Texas, against the Rangers after losing three straight to Kansas City.
Despite the losing streak, the Twins are still just two games out of first place. And they've been in contention even though former All-Star first baseman Joe Mauer has produced the least impressive offensive statistics of his career.
MPR's Cathy Wurzer spoke with Howard Sinker, a digital sports editor for the Star Tribune, about Mauer's year so far.
