A federal judge is expected to rule later Wednesday on Minnesota's sex offender treatment program.

Many expect that ruling to deem the program unconstitutional and dramatically shift its future.

DFL Rep. Tina Liebling served on a task force that recommended sweeping changes to the program in 2013. But those changes have since failed to pass through political gridlock at the Capitol.

MPR News host Cathy Wurzer spoke with Liebling about the program.
