The cost of college has been rising fast, far outpacing inflation. Decades ago students could work part-time and pay for it, but that's nearly impossible now.
Is a college education worth it? How did costs get so high, and what can be done about it?
Kevin Carey, the author of "The End of College" spoke with UCLA chancellor Gene Block, and Jamie Merisotis of the educational Lumina Foundation at the Aspen Ideas Festival. Moderating the discussion was Josh Wyner, executive director of the College Excellence Program at The Aspen Institute.
