Minnesota Elder Justice Center responds to alleged New Hope abuse

Hidden cameras at a nursing home in New Hope led to abuse allegations and the arrest of two nursing assistants.

The Star Tribune reported this morning that two employees at Saint Therese of New Hope have been fired after they were caught on camera allegedly abusing at least two residents.

Family members installed the cameras after they noticed cuts and bruises on their relatives.

Iris Freeman, president of the Minnesota Elder Justice Center board, joined MPR News' Tom Weber to discuss the allegations.
