Get ready to "shake your tail feathers," because that's the theme for this week's festival. The 61st Turkey Days festival in Frazee, Minn., began Friday and lasts all weekend. Frazee, in north-central Minnesota, is an area steeped in turkey production and processing.
Festivities include an outdoor movie Friday night, plus turkey bowling and a beard competition Saturday. Sunday's schedule includes a demolition derby.
Hank Ludtke, the mayor of Frazee and an organizer of Turkey Days, spoke with MPR News' Tom Crann about the festival and the bird- and otherwise-themed entertainment it has to offer.
