Major League Soccer President and Deputy Commissioner Mark Abbott will meet with St. Paul officials Tuesday about the prospect for a new professional soccer stadium near University and Snelling Avenues.
Minneapolis and St. Paul are both being considered as possible homes for an MLS team.
MPR News host Phil Picardi spoke with Brian Quarstad, who writes for the Minnesota-based Northern Pitch soccer blog, about the prospects for an MLS presence in St. Paul.
Quarstad is also on the Union Park District Council's land use committee. The council is holding a neighborhood public meeting Tuesday night about soccer in St. Paul.
