The Bee Gees' "Jive Talkin'" hit No. 1 on Billboard's pop chart 40 years ago today. The hit single was a comeback of sorts as the band reinvented itself as a disco act.
The song was originally called "Drive Talking," according to one report. The song's rhythm was inspired by the sound the musicians' car created as it crossed the Julia Tuttle Causeway from Florida's Biscayne Bay to a Miami recording studio.
