The physics of kindness

In theory, a butterfly flapping its wings on one side of the globe could start a hurricane on the other side.

A man suffering from ALS wondered if the same theory works for kindness.

So far, so good, CBS's On the Road reported last evening.

Last spring, he gave two girls he didn't know $50 with the instruction to do some good with it.

Rosati says he left the diner and forgot all about it until he got an email. It included pictures from a village in Africa with people holding signs that read, "Thanks a lot for spreading kindness -- Chris Rosati."

"It was the butterfly effect," said Rosati.
