Cue the "awwww" meter. A baby giraffe is the latest addition to the Como Park Zoo.
The new baby female, born Monday, is the 19th giraffe born at the zoo in the past two decades, the zoo said in a statement Thursday announcing the birth.
Born to Clover the giraffe, the baby weighs 135 pounds and stands 5 feet 8 inches tall. The yet-to-be-named creature may make her first appearance today if her mom allows. The giraffes have the option to roam their outdoor yard or stay behind the scenes, zoo officials said.
According to the zoo, giraffes double in height in the first two years of life, standing more than 12 feet tall and "like human fingerprints, the markings or spots of a giraffe's coat are unique to each individual."
Como Park Zoo welcomed baby giraffe Skye to the herd last November.
