The Commodores will be performing tonight with Patti LaBelle at the Minnesota State Fair Grandstand.
The best-known member of the group back in the day was Lionel Ritchie. He quit to pursue a solo career in 1983.
But even when he was in the Commodores, Ritchie was never the one who sang the 1977 classic hit "Brick House." The funky lead vocal on the song was performed by drummer Walter "Clyde" Orange. He's still in the band and will be singing "Brick House" at the Fair tonight.
