Minnesota native and Oscar nominee John Hawkes is set to appear at the Twin Cities Film Fest.
Hawkes, who was born in Alexandria, will appear Monday night at a screening of his new movie, "Too Late." Hawkes plays a troubled private investigator hired to find a missing woman from his own past.
Hawkes was nominated for an Academy Award for best supporting actor for the 2010 movie "Winter's Bone." He also has appeared in "Everest," "Low Down," "The Sessions," "The Perfect Storm" and "American Gangster."
The Twin Cities Film Fest is held at the ShowPlace ICON Theatres at the Shops at West End in St. Louis Park. The 11-day festival runs through Oct. 31.
