Searchers who had been looking for a missing college student in Monticello found the body of a man in a marsh south of I-94 near Dalton Ave., according to Wright County sheriff Joe Hagerty.
Volunteers from the non-profit search organization United Legacy were in the area searching for Tyler Berg.
Berg, 24, was last seen at his apartment in St. Cloud on Nov. 22. His abandoned car was found half an hour away at Otter Creek Park in Monticello. Some of his clothing was also found on the golf course at Monticello Country Club.
The Medical Examiner's Office will conduct an autopsy and identify the body.
KSTP-TV reports the search continued Saturday and then Sunday after Wright County authorities and the volunteer search organization United Legacy used social and broadcast media to request more volunteer searchers in an effort to canvas as many areas as possible.
