Daily Digest: Another mass shooting

Good morning and welcome to the Thursday after Thanksgiving. Here's the Digest.

1. Police in San Bernardino are still trying to determine why two people killed 14 and wounded 17 in the nation's latest mass shooting. They're not ruling out terrorism, but they're not necessarily ruling it in either. (New York Times)

2. In north Minneapolis, police moved in early this morning to remove the encampment protesters had set up outside the 4th Precinct. (MPR News)

3. State officials release the latest state budget forecast today. Nearly everyone at the Capitol expects it to show more cash on hand than previously expected. That means the calls for more spending and tax cuts have already begun. (MPR News)

4. The state health department says Minnesotans will soon be able to use cannabis to treat intractable pain. (MPR News)

5. The head of the effort to elect Republicans to the Senate wrote a memo for candidates about what to do if Donald Trump is the GOP presidential nominee. Short version: act more like Trump. (Washington Post)
