Today's Morning Edition music is from American Scarecrows with their version of "Snoopy's Christmas." They will be performing Thursday night at the Cedar Cultural Center in Minneapolis.
This song was first recorded by the Royal Guardsmen in 1967. It was a followup to their hit "Snoopy vs. the Red Baron," which made it to number two on the Billboard pop chart in 1966. The story the song tells was inspired by the WWI Christmas truce of 1914.
