Globe University plans to close Moorhead campus

Twin Cities-based Globe University plans to close its Moorhead campus after current students complete their courses.

KFGO-AM reports the career college cites declining enrollment in Moorhead.

Globe says it will continue to offer classes to current students through the end of next year or early 2017 so they have a chance to finish their courses. But no new students are being enrolled at Moorhead.

About 80 students currently are enrolled at Moorhead. The campus employs about 25 people, but more than half of those employees are instructors who have other positions outside the university.

Globe University and Minnesota School of Business have 18 other campuses in Minnesota, Wisconsin and South Dakota, as well as an online presence.
