For decades, there have been three elements of the St. Paul skyline -- the Capitol, the Cathedral, and the big red one. Now there are two.

KARE reports the "1" is dark and it sounds as though it might not be back for awhile.

The First National Bank building has new owners, the sign is in need of repair because high winds tore at its neon tubing, and the new owners say they're exploring "options."

The good news is that Madison Properties, the building's owner, is a St. Paul-based company.
