Today's Morning Edition music is from the Sex Pistols with "God Save the Queen."
We learned this week that Joe Corré, the son of Pistols manager Malcolm McLarren, plans to burn his personal collection of punk memorabilia, which he estimates is valued at $7 million.
He says it's a protest over Queen Elizabeth's decision to designate 2016 as the official year of punk in honor of the 40th anniversary of the Sex Pistols' first record.
Corré says the queen's blessing of punk is "the most frightening thing he's ever heard."
