Windows are rattling this morning over much of Minnesota and western Wisconsin.
A low pressure system is sitting over central Wisconsin this Saturday morning, with very strong winds wrapping around behind it. Wind gusts of 51 mph were reported in Eden Prairie (432 am) and St. Paul (505 am), and Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport reported a gust of 49 mph at 459 am.
Winds have tapered off slightly, but the Twin Cities metro area will see winds of about 25 to 30 mph with gusts to 40 mph much of today. Stronger winds are expected for portions of western and southern Minnesota and southwestern Wisconsin. Those areas are in a wind advisory until 4pm today:
High profile vehicles may have difficulty in the strong winds, and loose objects will be blown around.

Temperatures will be much colder than normal today, with highs in the upper 30s over southern Minnesota and lower 30s over the north.
Nicer on Sunday!
Winds taper off drastically by this evening, and winds on Sunday will be in the 10-15 mph range. Temperatures rebound nicely on Sunday over southern and central Minnesota:
Some spots in the southwest metro could touch 60 degrees Sunday, and I would not be surprised to see a 70 degree reading in southwestern Minnesota.
Northeastern Minnesota will only see 30s on Sunday, with a chance of snow showers.
Wet Wednesday
Temps dip again on Monday, then rebound for Tuesday and Wednesday:
We could see a few showers Tuesday afternoon into Wednesday.
I hope you have a good weekend!
