Our average high temp this time of year in the Twin Cities is 53 degrees. We won't see temperatures like that until Sunday.
Winds rotating around a low pressure system to our east will give us a cold and windy Friday:
Highs in the 30s are expected over much of Minnesota. Some snow showers are possible just to our east on Friday, and accumulating snow is expected over northeastern Minnesota and northwestern Wisconsin. Here is a summary of the expected snowfall from the Duluth office of the National Weather Service:

Better on Saturday, 50s return on Sunday
We'll see lighter winds and ample sunshine on Saturday, but it will be cool:
Mild air finally returns to central and southern Minnesota on Sunday:
Some showers are possible on Sunday, mainly during the morning hours.
A dip, then temps rebound
Temps drop again on Monday, and Tuesday will also be cool:
50s return on Wednesday, and we could see upper 50s if we have enough sunshine. Longer range forecast models show highs in the 60s Thursday through Saturday next week. That would feel great!
Warmer for third week of April
There is a good chance that temps during the third week of April will be above normal over Minnesota, per the latest outlook from the Climate Prediction Center of the NWS:
The temperature outlook covers the period from April 15 through April 21. Our average high temperature in the Twin Cities is 58 on April 15. It rises to 61 degrees on April 21. That is a nice trend!
