It has rained in the Twin Cities on four of the past five days. At Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, 1.85 inches of rain have been recorded since Sunday.

Many lawns are now a stunning, intense green color that we only see in spring. We're expecting mostly dry weather the next few days, so we'll have a chance to mow those lawns.

The exception to that dry forecast will be far southern Minnesota, along the Interstate 90 corridor. That area could see some showers on Saturday, as a low pressure system tracks across the Missouri:

The Storm Prediction Center of the National Weather Service indicates a risk of severe weather today and tonight from Oklahoma and Texas into Arkansas:

Thunderstorms should say well to our south from today through the weekend.

Warming trend

We could touch 60 on Saturday, with lower 60s on Sunday.

The warmup does not stop there. The Twin Cities could see highs in the mid 60s Monday, and 70 on Tuesday:
