As expected, we started out with very chilly temperatures this Sunday morning.
The lowest reading recorded at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport was 34 degrees.

Our average low this time of year is 49 degrees in the Twin Cities, so our early morning lows were 15 to 20 degrees chillier than normal.
Warmer and less windy
It won't be as windy today as it was on Saturday, and high temps will be about 10 degrees warmer:
We should see lower 60s in much of southern and central Minnesota, with some 50s over the north.
Shower chance Monday
A low pressure system passes to our east tonight and Monday. It could bring scattered showers to northeastern Minnesota this evening into early Monday. There is also a chance of scattered showers over the remainder of eastern Minnesota, including the Twin Cities, on Monday:
A high pressure system settles in on Tuesday, bringing us dry weather.
Milder start on Monday
Monday morning lows will be in the 40s over southern Minnesota, with some 30s in the north.
Highs Monday afternoon will be in the 60s over central and southern Minnesota:
Highs in the 50s are expected over northern Minnesota.
70s later this week
Highs in the 60s are expected on Tuesday and Wednesday, and we could hit 70 on Thursday. 70s are in our outlook for Friday and Saturday.
