Today's Morning Edition music is from "Boogie Fever" by The Sylvers, which was No. 1 on the Billboard pop chart 40 years ago today.
The group started out as four siblings from the Watts area of Los Angeles who called themselves The Little Angels. They appeared on several TV shows including "Make Room For Daddy" and "You Bet Your Life."
By the time they became The Sylvers in the mid-'70s, nine siblings were part of the group. This was their only No. 1 song.
